GI Consultative services
Dr.David Feldman has been providing Gastro-intestinal consultations in New York City Since 1992.
Anal Fissure treatment
Dr. David Feldman. treats anal fissures and internal hemorrhoids. He was the prinicpal clinical researcher in a clinical trial using Botox for anal fissures.
Diagnosis of Celiac Disease
Celiac disease is a disorder of the small intestine where gluten will be malabsorbed. Special testing will need to be done if Celiac disease is suspected.
Liver Disease consultation
Dr. David Feldman has provided care for people with liver disease in New York City since 1992. He has participated in numerous clinical trials for Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C. He is also the founder of the community support group for Hepatitis at St Vincents Hospital.
Esophageal variceal banding
Esophageal varices can occur from advanced liver disease. These blood vessels in the esophagus can cause Gastro-intestinal bleeding. One of the treatment options for preventing bleeding is placing bands on the esophageal varices.
Endoscopic Procedures
Dr. David Feldman. Board Certified Gastroenterologist performs Colonoscopy and Upper endoscopy for a large variety of clinical indications. All of these procedures are performed with the anesthesia given by an anesthesiologist.
Pre liver transplant care
If you have advanced liver disease, you may need to be evaluated for consideration of liver transplant.
Crohns and Ulcerative Colitis
Inflammatory bowel disease is an inflammatory disease which involves the Gastro-intestinal tract. And can be either diagnosed as Crohn's disease or Ulcerative colitis depending on the manifestation of the inflammation. Exciting and new treatments have become available to alleviate the inflammation of the bowel.
Esophageal Stricture dilation
Difficulty in swallowing, may be a symtom of an esophageal disorder. Some of these disorder can cause food to become stuck and lodged in the esophagus. To prevent food from becoming stuck, an dilation of the esophagus can be performed.
